Slim Fit Grey Suit Post. Yes. Another One.

We never get sick of making grey suits here because we like them a lot. We think they are the one piece that any guy should invest in if he were to get just ONE suit ever in his whole entire lifetime. 

The Grey Suit will go with many items that you will likely already have in your wardrobe. The Grey Suit will also be suitable for many special occasions or work meetings. You may think of it as a fool-proof blank canvas.  The Grey Suit basically has your back covered. 

Here, we are featuring Abhijeet, who managed to provide us a full set of measurements all the way from Toronto using the detailed instructions I gave him. The measurements were almost good enough for us to make him that awesome suit. Since there's a fitting that is always included in our suit-making process, all of the little imperfections that were present were looked at by us during Abhijeet's fitting and remedied soon after.

Tuxedos Aren't Just For Fancy Galas And Weddings

A lot of people often think a tuxedo is reserved for very special occasions. That used to be the case. A very long time ago. 

Nowadays, people are more at liberty to express themselves in however they want to dress. Also-- getting multiple uses out of their high-quality garments is a preferred choice for many young folks out there, especially with all the fast-food clothing stores that sell cheaply made tops and pants that exhibit poor construction and fabric quality that fall apart quickly, which in turn ends up costing the buyers more money in the long run if they need to replace those items.

Take this blue tuxedo for example:  

If the jacket and pants are worn together, it's pretty clear that this IS a formal tuxedo.

 

But if you take the jacket and pair it up with a casual pant, the overall feel of the outfit becomes a hip street-wearable ensemble.

If you want to wear the tuxedo pant (pictured above are the same pants in the first picture) on its own, that's perfectly fine too. It just looks like a pair of regular dress pants. Here's a tip: If you want to be able to wear the tuxedo pants as a pair of normal dress pants, make sure to order a pair without the satin trim down the sides of your legs. 

So as you can see here, our model pictured above, Sam, is sporting a pair of tuxedo pants that doesn't really look like tuxedo pants anymore. How versatile is that? :)

Little Black Jacket

Us girls have our "Little Black Dress (LBD)". We all know how great it is. It flatters any body shape and matches with any accessory, handbag or shoe. The LBD is appropriate for any occasion depending on how you dress it up or dress it down.

Well gents, there's no need to be all green-eyed with envy. You have your "Little Black Jacket (LBJ)". The word "little" is used in the sense that your jacket is nicely fitted and not billowy.

The LBJ is a smart choice for lazy males who can't afford a sliver of time to put together handsome outfits. Feel free to try any of the following combinations of clothing items with the LBJ and you will look cool as ice:

A. T-shirt + Jeans + LBJ

B. Dress shirt + Jeans + LBJ

C. Casual button-up shirt + shorts + LBJ

D. Dress shirt + Tie + Khakis + LBJ

A young man called Jadan came in one day and said to us, "I want a black jacket to look cool!" And so we produced a black jacket that made him look cool. In fact, he looked so cool with it on that I had to take his pictures.

Website in the Making (Part One)

One of my tasks today is designing suit samples for the new website gallery. Like my flower shaped memo stickers?

I love men's suits. I love how a suit can transform any average Joe into a million bucks. A suit screams power. A suit commands respect. But most importantly, a suit gives a man confidence.

The idea of designing and putting together men's outfits for a photoshoot brings me immense joy and carrying out this task will be a blast.

I am very big on classic looks that are coupled with a hint of modernism and elegance. Timeless pieces are forever popular, so investing in a great classic suit isn't a bad idea.

If you're a guy who loves to set yourself apart from other Joes, opt for some non-traditional key details on your suit or be even bolder and pick an interesting fabric--like a metallic cloth or one with a check pattern. Consider your colour options too.

I can't wait to show you what I have in mind!

We're Prepping You For A Career as A Doctor, Nick!

Think back to your childhood: remember your first bicycle your dad bought you? Or your first video game console? Or how about your first desktop computer? What about your first cell phone? Remember how cool you felt when you became the owner of a new toy?

I'm quite certain that Nick experienced the same kind of kick he got when he sat on his first bicycle (assuming he did get a bicycle when he was younger) while he was putting on his first custom made suit a couple of weeks ago at Balsam Custom Tailors. Slipping into a fine custom made suit is like diving off a 10 meter platform and slipping smoothly into the sparkling water below, then feeling the water engulf you completely.

Getting your first suit made is a thrilling thing. It may not be water that engulfs you but you'll be engulfed in a beautiful suiting that fits you like a glove. You'll be so good looking that even your mother won't recognize you. You'll be so good looking that when you cast your gaze upon a million bucks, the one million bucks will think you're worth more than it.

A custom made suit can make you look really good. You want proof? Feast your eyes on Nick. He wants to apply to med school once he's done his degree. Wearing his new suit, he doesn't even need to go to school to become a doctor. He looks like a doctor already!
